In anticipation of China's acceptance into the World Trade Organization (WTO), The Beard Company positioned itself to do business in China with the 1994 formation of a wholly owned subsidiary, Beard Sino-American Resources Co., Inc. (BSAR). Headquartered in Beijing, BSAR is engaged in the pursuit of energy, environmental and Internet initiatives. Mr. Riza E. Murteza heads BSAR with a staff of management, engineering and clerical professionals. BSAR is uniquely positioned to facilitate the transfer of Western technologies to China with the endorsement of the Chinese government and assistance from other international organizations.
